Below are some handy tips on Home Safety, Personal Protection and how to prevent Car Crime.

Should you require any further information please to not hesitate to contact us on the number provided on this page.

Home Safety:

1)     Beware of Bogus Callers - always check Identity Cards prior to allowing people into your property.

2)     During long periods away from your home, leave a light on.

3)     Prior to leaving your home, check that all windows and doors and shut and locked.

4)     During darkness hours, keep your curtains and blinds drawn.

5)     Don’t leave large amounts of cash in the house.

6)     Don’t hide spare keys anywhere outside e.g. under the doormat or plant pot.  Thieves know all the good hiding places.

Personal Safety:

1)   If you have to walk alone, plan your route in advance and stay in well lit busy streets.

2)      When going out at night, only use a licenced taxi company.

3)      Do not carry large amounts of cash with you or have mobile phones, ipods etc in view.

4)      If your phone is stolen call 08701123123 to immobilize it.

5)      Let friends and family know where you are going, who with and when to expect you back.

6)      If possible use cash machines in the day.

7)      Have your keys to hand so you are not searching for them at your car or front door.

Car Crime:

1)      Do not leave shopping bags or valuables on display in your car.

2)      Keep your purchases out of sight in the boot of your vehicle.

3)      Park safely - if you cannot park on secure car park, try to park in well lit busy streets.

4)      Lock all doors, close all windows everytime you leave your car.

5)      Remove the ignition key everytime you leave your car - do not leave your car ‘warming up’ in winter.
