Thousands of people flocked to Phoenix Park to enjoy the ever-popular annual Phoenix festival which took place on Sunday 18^th July.

 A host of activities, events and performances were laid on for residents from the ABCD area including Community stalls, Tombola, Raffle,  Bollywood dancing, choral singers, Dhol drumming, a brilliant array of performances and acts managed and supported by Gazebo, Zip Theatre and Shakatee Roadshow, arts and crafts, sports activities, funfair rides, inflatable slides and a climbing wall.

The Friends of Phoenix Park, supported by ABCD, and members of the community organised the fun day which took place in July - just days before the park was awarded Green Flag status.

Although this is the last Phoenix Festival to be held during the ABCD project, which ends in March 2011 , we hope to continue hosting the event every year with the support of the community and local businesses.
