Park Ranger Activities

Wolverhampton City Council have realized the potential and the practical benefits that can be achieved by encouraging community involvement and developing community groups like The Friends of Phoenix Park and local schools in developing and improving there parks.

The park ranger position was initially funded by the Blakenhall & Springvale local area forum for six months, this initiative was very popular with local residents, a good result, that post has now been extended for a further year due to the hard work that has been put in by that person.

The park ranger is holding one session per month, that you can come along and help with, activities include planting wild folwers, making bird boxes or just tidying up the nature trails around the park as well as developing new projects that will improve phoenix park.
