What do I have to do to get started??

All you need is to get a record card from your walk leader of from the main office and a current timetable of led walks. You may attend any of these walkes to gain Real Miles. You must be over 16 years old.

We started our Walking your Way to Health scheme walking around the local area of Phoenix Park, linked to a history tour of Blakenhall in late 2002.

It was then launched officially by the mayor of Wolverhampton in January 2003, It now goes around the new pathway system on Phoenix park, there were around a dozen regular members in July 2003, Now in 2006, we have three regular walks around the park, the take up from the Asian community is remarkably high, Phoenix Park has become very popular for walkers from all ages and backgrounds, that is not counting the other local residents that use the park for walking, some of those can be seen on the park from around 4am in the morning !! Fantastic News.

The new pathways are a big success, the park is been used more that it ever has been before, helping to keep antisocial behaviour away by natural surveillance "People on the Park" "People Power".
